Are those batteries really dead?

Every device requires a different amount of power.  A Battery might not have enough energy to power a wireless mouse or a digital camera but it might still have enough for weeks in a radio or months in a remote control.

Battery testers are an essential tool for any household.  Simple good/bad testers give you a little information, but a digital tester provides you with the voltage of battery and over time you can determine what items stop working at what voltages, plus you can match batteries with the same voltage for a longer life.
