Hatchi Maxell is the industry leader in silver oxide (SR) micro cell batteries (watch batteries). Maxell manufactures their SR series watch batteries in Japan. and packages them in colour coded hologram foil packaging for sale in North America.
While not every micro cell battery is available from Maxell, they have 95% of the sizes covered. Maxell is the only manufacturer that has invest in unique colour coded packaging and they continue to produce both the slow drain (sw) sodium hydroxide and high drain (w) potassium hydroxide versions of their batteries to ensure your watch gets the longest life out of each battery.
ALKALINE (LR)
Maxell also produces alkaline (LR) micro cells, which are packaged on card-stock strips.
These batteries are designed for toys and low drain electronics. They do not provide the constant voltage needed to ensure the watch doesn't lose time.
